BOBBY BROWN - BROWN: 'I LIKED TO FIGHT'

Troubled R+B singer BOBBY BROWN has confessed he used to enjoy fighting because violence was "a release". In the aftermath of his wife WHITNEY HOUSTON's huge success following THE BODYGUARD movie and soundtrack in 1992, Brown began drinking heavily and would regularly become involved in aggressive confrontations. Speaking before his recent separation from Houston, Brown said, "I wasn't at home enough and I'd started really getting into drinking a lot. "Any time I went out, I'd get into s**t. I used to like to fight. Violence to me was like a release." He adds, "As a young man with bipolar disease, I would medicate with drugs and alcohol. Many people in (the US) have it, but we just don't know it. JANE PAULEY has it, you know, and I think ALBERT EINSTEIN. In that light, I was like, 'Yeah, I do consider myself a genius.'"
