FOXY BROWN - BROWN DENIES ASSAULT CHARGE

Rapper FOXY BROWN turned up in court on Tuesday (16Oct07) to pleaded not guilty to assaulting a neighbour with a cell phone. The hip-hop star, real name Inga Marchand, was scheduled to appear for an arraignment hearing at Kings County Supreme Court in New York on Friday (12Oct07) , but refused to leave her cell at Rikers Island prison, where she's serving time for an assault. The 28-year-old finally appeared at Brooklyn state Supreme Court on Tuesday morning to deny assaulting Arlene Raymond, 25, with her phone in July (07). Brown was jailed for one year in August (07) for violating her probation in a separate case in Manhattan.
