BRITNEY SPEARS - BRITNEY 'GETS ANIMATED'

BRITNEY SPEARS is set to appear in cartoon form for her latest music video.

In the music video for her latest single BREAK THE ICE, the troubled pop star will be depicted as a superheroine battling in a futuristic world.

According to the Sun newspaper, Britney herself came up with the idea, telling record label bosses that she wanted the video to be an animated take on her TOXIC video in which she plays a colourful assassin/spy.

A source told USmagazine.com: "Since Britney has been otherwise occupied this was a creative and fun way to do her next video."

Meanwhile, Britney is set to have a cameo appearance in hit US show HOW I MET YOU MOTHER.

She will star as a dorky receptionist rather than a version of herself.

CLUELESS actress ALICVIA SILVERSTONE will also have a guest spot on the show – as the recurring love interest of main character Ted.
