LATEST: British soap star MOHAMMED GEORGE has been charged with assault after allegedly physically abusing his girlfriend outside a restaurant. The actor, who plays GUS in BBC show EASTENDERS, was arrested and released on bail last month (DEC06) following an incident in London. The 24-year-old has been charged despite his girlfriend EMMA ARCHIBALD, 26, recently dismissing claims he assaulted her. George is due to appear in court in Highbury, London later today (11JAN07).
