BRITISH ROYAL COUNTESS OF WESSEX GIVES BIRTH TO BABY BOY
British royal PRINCE EDWARD, the Earl Of Wessex, is celebrating after becoming a father for the second time. Edward's wife Sophie, Countess Of Wessex, gave birth to a baby boy via caesarean section at 4.20pm on Monday (17Dec07) at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey, England. The newborn weighed in at six pounds and two ounces (2.81 kilograms). According to a spokesperson for royal residence Buckingham Palace, the couple is "absolutely thrilled" with the baby's arrival. The boy's name is currently unknown, but he will be titled Viscount Severn. The Earl and Countess Of Wessex already have one daughter, four-year-old Lady Louise Windsor.
