THE PROFESSIONALS - BRITISH ACTOR DEREK WARING DIES

British TV actor DEREK WARING has died of cancer. He was 79. Waring, who starred in television series Z CARS and MOODY AND PEGG, died in hospital on Tuesday (20FEB07). The star, who was awarded a Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) scholarship after serving in the British army, also appeared in THE PROFESSIONALS, DIXON OF DOCK GREEN, and THE NEW AVENGERS. His wife, actress DAME DOROTHY TUTIN, died in 2001 aged 71 following a battle with leukaemia. Waring is survived by his two children, actors AMANDA and NICK.
