CHRISTIE BRINKLEY - BRINKLEY + COOK AGREE TO EXTEND CUSTODY SETTLEMENT

LATEST: Model CHRISTIE BRINKLEY and her estranged husband PETER COOK's temporary custody agreement regarding visitation of their two kids has been extended after a tense face-off in court yesterday (22JAN07). The former couple attended a hearing in Central Islip, Long Island in an attempt to resolve child custody and other issues in their divorce case. They agreed to extend a temporary agreement, set up in November (06), regarding visitation of the children - the couple will continue with the temporary schedule until their next court date in May (07). After the court session, smiling Brinkley told reporters she is confident the court will rule in her favour eventually: "I have a wonderful judge. I have a lot of confidence in him... We have a wonderful lawyer representing the children and I'm hopeful everything will be resolved to their benefit." Brinkley filed for divorce from Cook last summer (06) after learning of his affair with a teenage assistant.
