MARLON BRANDO's estate is suing a furniture maker after the iconic star's surname was used to sell a chair. Papers filed at Los Angeles Superior Court allege the retailers selling the home cinema chair did not seek permission to use the Oscar-winning actor's surname on a home cinema chair named 'The Brando'. City Leather in southern California, Palliser Furniture Corp in North Carolina and Palliser Furniture Ltd in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada have been named in the case. Brando's estate is seeking unspecified damages and a court order to prevent any goods being sold under the late actor's name. The GODFATHER star died of lung failure in 2004.
