BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN - BOSS BEATS KATIE TO CHART PRIZE

Bruce Springsteen has beaten Katie Melua to the top of the UK albums chart with his latest release Magic.

Melua's third album Pictures entered the charts at two, while Shotter's Nation from Babyshambles was another new entry at five.

Springsteen's chart-topping exploits mean he has now has seven number one albums under his belt.

In the singles chart meanwhile pop trio Sugababes are still top with About You Now, with Let Me Think About You from Ida Corr v Fedde Le Grand rising three to claim the silver medal position.

Shayne Ward's No U Hang Up/If That's OK With You drops a place to three and Ayo Technology by 50 Cent and Justin Timberlake and Hey There Delilah by Plain White T's round off the top five.
