BORIS BECKER SPLITS FROM GIRLFRIEND

Former tennis ace BORIS BECKER has split from his girlfriend SHARLELY KERSSENBERG. According to reports in Becker's native Germany, the star split from the Dutch model earlier this month (Nov07). Their last public appearance together was at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Munich on 1 November (07). But Becker claims it was a mutual decision and says they are still "good friends", adding that a third person was not involved. He tells German magazine Revue, "We came to realise in the course of time that we stood for different lifestyles. In such a situation you have to be honest with each other."
