CONNIE BOOTH - BOOTH SNUBS FAWLTY TOWERS REUNION

Former actress CONNIE BOOTH has refused to reunite with her ex-husband JOHN CLEESE for a radio documentary on their show FAWLTY TOWERS. Booth and Cleese co-wrote the classic British sitcom while they were still wed, but their marriage broke up a year before the show ended in 1979. BBC Radio 4 approached the couple and their former co-stars Prunella Scales and Andrew Sachs to discuss the making of the sitcom, and Booth was the only member reluctant to participate. Radio producer David Prest says, "We had most of the Fawlty Towers cast lined up, but Connie simply didn't want to have anything to do with it. "We felt that as we didn't have everybody onboard we had to abandon the idea."
