BON JOVI - BON JOVI CHRISTEN NEW HOMETOWN ARENA

Rockers BON JOVI officially opened a new $380 million (GBP190 million) arena in the band's hometown of Newark, New Jersey on Thursday (25Oct07). The veteran group performed the first of 10 shows at the Prudential Arena, which officials hope will help revitalise the struggling city. Frontman Jon Bon Jovi told the crowd, "I'm a Jersey Devil (mythical local creature) and this is my new house. It looks good with all you people in it. Welcome to 'The Rock' here in Newark, New Jersey."
