BLIND MELON TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM
Rockers BLIND MELON have recorded their first studio album since the death of frontman SHANNON HOON in 1995. The No Rain hitmakers recruited singer Travis Warren to replace Hoon's in the studio for For My Friends, which is due to be released in the U.S. on 22 April (08). Warren tells Billboard.com, "This record's a great rock 'n' roll record. It's kind of like (1995's) Soup - the more you listen to it, the more it grows on you." Hoon died of a cocaine overdose in October 1995.
