JACK BLACK - BLACK DESPERATE FOR 'BADASS' TITLE

Comedian JACK BLACK was so desperate to become an "American badass" his teenage years were consumed with drugs and dreams of committing crimes.
The Shallow Hal star admits he was determined to be the ultimate tough guy growing up - but insists he has since changed his criminal ways.
He says, "In ninth grade I did acid and cocaine. I wanted desperately to be an American badass... a criminal.
"You want to belong to the tough guy club - running from the cops, hiding in the bushes, making schemes and plans to get it over on the man."
