HALLE BERRY - BERRY JOKES ABOUT BEATTY'S 'TOPLESS' VOW
HALLE BERRY poked fun at screen veteran WARREN BEATTY at the American Film Institute Awards on Thursday (12Jun08) night, referring to the Lifetime Achievement honouree as "the greatest white rapper of the past 15 years".
Beatty was presented with the accolade at Los Angeles' Kodak Theatre in front of a star-studded audience full of pals like Jack Nicholson, Dustin Hoffman, Diane Keaton and Beatty's wife Annette Bening.
And Berry, who starred alongside Beatty in 1998's Bulworth, was one of the first to pay tribute to the 71-year-old.
Beatty showed off his rapping skills in the film and Berry will always credit him for keeping the movie clean.
She added, "There was the usual discussion with the studio (about) if there should be a scene to spice up the movie - if somebody should go topless.
"But I have to say, to Warren's credit, he put his foot down and he insisted on keeping his shirt on for the entire movie."
