SUGABABES - BERRABAH'S SISTER AVOIDS JAIL SENTENCE FOR THEFT

SUGABABES star AMELLE BERRABAH's elder sister has been sentenced to community service after pleading guilty to theft.
Nurse Zakiya Berrabah, 35, confessed to stealing two store cards and some cash from patients at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford, south east England, where she worked.
She admitted to using the two cards from British department store House of Fraser to buy $6,440 (GBP3,481)-worth of clothes and other items.
Berrabah, who was facing jail on one count of theft and another of obtaining property by deception, appeared at Guildford Crown Court in south east England on Friday (05Sep08) for sentencing.
Judge Peter Moss told Berrabah: "One can hardly imagine a more serious version of stealing."
But she avoided jail and was handed community service for the crimes, after the court heard how she suffers from a "mental disorder".
