ELVIS COSTELLO - BENNETT'S SURPRISE FOR COSTELLO'S WIFE

ELVIS COSTELLO's wife DIANA KRALL was in for a shock when TONY BENNETT appeared on the rocker's new chat show - the crooner insisted on singing with her.
Jazz star Krall was in the audience for the taping of Spectacle: Elvis Costello With... Tony Bennett and had no idea she'd become part of the show.
Costello admits he was taken aback when his guest requested the company of his wife.
He says, "Tony said,'`Do you think Diana would come and sing a number with me?' and I went,'`I don't know. You ask her.' And next thing, she was up, out of the audience and on the stage.
"We didn't plan for it and she was completely unprepared. And now it's on film."
Krall and Bennett have toured together and she collaborated with the singer for his Duets: An American Classic album.
