TONY BENNETT - BENNETT UNIMPRESSED BY COWELL'S NURTURING STYLE

Singing legend TONY BENNETT had an argument with SIMON COWELL over the music mogul's nurturing style of wannabe pop stars. Bennett has advised contestants on American Idol and British TV show The X Factor - which are both judged by Cowell - and was surprised at the speedy path of fame they take. Bennett tells London's Time Out magazine, "I had it out with Simon when I met him and I suggested that he should open up tiny clubs across the countries so the kids could break in and learn properly. "He said, 'Oh, I haven't got time for that, I'm too busy making money.'"
