COLIN FARRELL - BELGIAN BEER NIGHTMARE FOR FARRELL

Movie star COLIN FARRELL struggled with his new-found sobriety on the set of IN BRUGES in Belgium - because he was surrounded by the best beers in the world. The Irish hellraiser recently tackled his alcohol abuse issues with a spell in rehab and admits subsequently making a movie in one of the world's beer meccas was a bad idea. He explains, "There was an irony about working there, with 480 different beers, at that stage of my life. "It would have been a different time had it been two years beforehand." Farrell admits he had to find another 'healthier' addiction to keep his mind off the ever-available alcohol. He explains, "I ate a lot of chocolate crepes."
