A new BEATLES exhibition is set to hit British shores after a hugely successful run in the U.S. The Beatles! Backstage And Behind The Scenes show will kick off in the band's native Liverpool, England, on 4 April (08) and will continue throughout the summer. The showcase depicts the Fab Four's meteoric rise to fame in 1964, featuring exclusive back-stage snaps of their debut appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show - which was watched by 73 million people. Exhibition bosses extended the show to include a U.K. run after 3 million fans turned out to enjoy a glimpse of the Yellow Submarine hitmakers at a Washington DC gallery, reports Gigwise.com. Jerry Goldman, managing director of the exhibition, says, "The images in this award-winning exhibition represent the very best of sixties photojournalism and show the Beatles at a pivotal moment in their career. "We are hugely excited to welcome this exclusive and award winning exhibition to the Beatles Story for its U.K. premiere."
