BEASTIE BOYS - BEASTIE BOYS INVITE COCKER + ALLEN TO SING ON ALBUM

The BEASTIE BOYS are to revisit their instrumental album THE MIXUP by asking a host of celebrities like JARVIS COCKER, LILY ALLEN and M.I.A. to rework tracks and add vocals. The album was released to lukewarm reviews in June (07) and rapper Adam 'MCA' Yauch hopes new lyrics will give the project a boost. He tells Billboard.com, "We're talking to some different artists who might do kinda like remixes and put vocals on it, so it wouldn't be us doing vocals on it. "It would be kind of like a different version of the album, with a bunch of people guesting on it."
