BB9 DARNELL AND REX WARNED OVER 'UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR'

Big Brother 9 contestants Darnell Swallow and Rex Newmark have been warned after insulting fellow housemate Sara Foladi.

The pair were reprimanded after Darnell called Sara an "ugly b***h" while he and Rex made jokes about Sara being promiscuous.

After being summoned to the diary room, Darnell was reminded that show rules state that Big Brother will intervene and take appropriate action if housemates behave in a way that is considered unacceptable, including: 'Behaving in a way that could cause serious offence to other housemates or members of the viewing public, serious harassment, or abusive behaviour directed at a housemate including bullying'.

"Oh so basically because I called Sara ugly b***h yesterday that's why I'm in the diary room now," Darnell remarked.

When Big Brother asked Darnell to explain his behaviour, he replied: "Basically, what it is, I feel like she represents basically how my life on the outside world goes, with women in general yeah?

"I got annoyed or whatever, obviously she knows that I don't think that she is an ugly b***h or whatever yeah. Everything I say to her goes in one ear and out the other unless it's something like negative, then that has to be something that's set in stone.

"And basically, I think that's what I was miffed about".

He was then reminded that his behaviour was being monitored.

Called to the diary room for a similar dressing down, Rex claimed he was "only playing" with Sara.

"I made it very clear, as I did say to her at the end of the night," he added.

"She knew, I didn't even have to say it, she knew that I was only joking with her. I do not condone, I hate bullies, I would never bully someone.

"It was only merely meant as a joke and she was finding it funny up until Darnell jumped in and said something which obviously really upset her."

Speaking in the diary room later, Mikey Hughes opined that Darnell is preoccupied with getting to the final as he is looking for "acceptance".

"I just think he wants to win it maybe because people will then respect him," he continued.

"But I mean, you're not going to get respect calling girls 'ugly b*****s' and 'd**k-riders."

Darnell later claimed that his insults were not personal attacks on Sara and could have been directed at any girl.

He added that being in the Big Brother house had heightened his insecurities about his albinism.

"As far as romance goes, I don't rate [Sara] necessarily that high. And because I don't rate her that high I think to myself so why can't I have her?

"And then that's when I get mad, the reasoning why… those reasons why I can't are out of my control".
