MARSHALL ROGERS, the comic book artist who created some of BATMAN's greatest moments, has died at his home in Fremont, California. He was 57.
Rogers passed away "unexpectedly" on Sunday (25MAR07), according to the artist's family, who are awaiting news of a cause of death.
The comic book favourite worked on Batman's adventures for Detective Comics in the late 1970s after training as an architect.
Fans credit his architecture background for giving Batman's Gotham City home a film noir vision.
As well as working on Batman, Rogers also created artwork for DR STRANGE and G.I. JOE comics.
