MISCHA BARTON - BARTON PLEADS GUILTY TO DRINK-DRIVING

Actress MISCHA BARTON has been sentenced to three years unsupervised probation after pleading no contest to drink-driving.
The former The O.C. star was charged with DUI, possession of marijuana and driving without a licence in February (08), following an arrest in West Hollywood in December (07).
Barton accepted a plea deal by admitting the DUI offence in return for prosecutors dropping the marijuana charge and reducing the driving without a licence charge to an infraction.
On Thursday (10Apr08), a Beverly Hills, California judge sentenced the 22-year-old to three years unsupervised probation and ruled she must complete a three-month alcohol-education class and pay a fine of approximately $2,000 (GBP1,000).
