DREW BARRYMORE - BARRYMORE DOWNS SHOTS IN ORDER TO SING

CHARLIE'S ANGELS star DREW BARRYMORE was so terrified of singing in her new film she forced the director to give her whisky shots before shooting the scene. The star plays a lounge singer in new film LUCKY YOU and convinced 8 MILE director CURTIS HANSON she desperately needed shots of Southern Comfort beforehand. She explains, "I fundamentally have the worst voice ever given to a human being!" Although her boyfriend, FABRIZIO MORETTI, drums in rock band THE STROKES, Barrymore claims she hasn't picked up any of his talent. After shooting her singing scene, she measured the success of her performance by the crew's reaction. She adds, "No one was like, 'Wow', but I was just happy no one had blood spurting out of their ears!"
