CORINNE BAILEY RAE - BAILEY RAE'S HUSBAND DIED FROM 'SUSPECTED OVERDOSE'

An inquest into the death of Corinne Bailey Rae's husband has heard that he died of a suspected overdose.
The body of Jason Rae, 31, was discovered in a flat in Leeds on Saturday.
At the inquest today, deputy assistant coroner Roger Chapman announced that the pathologist's report claimed the cause of death to be linked to a "suspected drugs overdose".
Mr Chapman heard that further tests were required but a preliminary conclusion of a drugs overdose had been made.
The body of Mr Rae has now been released for burial and the inquest adjourned to a later date.
Earlier, a 32-year-old man was arrested by police on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs and later released on bail.
Detective Superintendent Steve Payne told the inquest at Leeds coroner's court today that there were no signs of trauma or violence on Mr Rae's body or in the flat and neither were there any indications of natural diseases responsible for the death.
Corinne Bailey Rae's record label EMI released a statement saying that the British singer was devastated at the loss of her husband.
"EMI Records would like to offer its sincere condolences to Corinne Bailey Rae and the Rae family at this tragic time," the statement said.
Corinne and Jason Bailey Rae married in 2001 after meeting while working at a jazz club in Leeds.
