Soul star CORINNE BAILEY RAE is glad her singing career hasn't made her rich - because it would ruin her songwriting talents. The British singer may be Grammy-nominated and hailed as a talent by STEVIE WONDER, but she's still happy to live a quiet life in her hometown of Leeds, England. The 28-year-old says, "I paid GBP130,000 for a flat in Leeds and I got flak for it. People think I should buy a castle or something. I can't afford a castle. "Plus, I like being part of a community. Where I live is full of arty types - women in their 50s who live with cats and draw feminist cartoons in their spare time."
