BABYSHAMBLES DRUMMER STARTS SIDE PROJECT
BABYSHAMBLES drummer ADAM FICEK has started a new musical side project: ROSES, KINGS CASTLES.
According to NME, Ficek refers to the project as his "ringo moment" on his MySpace page and claims it is an "outlet" where he can work on music before presenting it to the band.
Fans can listen to one of the new, acoustic tracks, SPARKLINGBOOTZ, on the webpage.
The drummer also states that he is influenced by GORKY'S ZYGOTIC, MATHS AND PHYSICS CLUB and THE TELEVISION PERSONALITIES.
Ficek is currently on the OH WHAT A LOVELY TOUR arena tour with BABYSHAMBLES whose hits include DOWN IN ALBION and YOU TALK.
Recently bassist DREW MCCONNELL revealed to NME that lead singer PETE DOHERTY had imposed an official alcohol ban on their tour bus to ensure that he remains sober.
McConnel continued to say: "I thought it was a joke at first but it's true we're having to hide bottles of beer under our pillows! I think it's indicative of Peter's resolve to sort himself out."
