ARREST WARRANT ISSUED FOR CARUSO'S AUSTRIAN STALKER

Authorities in Austria have launched a nationwide search for a woman accused of stalking CSI: Miami star DAVID CARUSO, after she failed to appear in court on Wednesday (16Apr08) for the start of her trial.
The unnamed 41-year-old - whose identity is protected under the country's privacy laws - was due to stand trial for stalking and threatening to kill Caruso at a court in Innsbruck.
But when the woman didn't show on Wednesday morning, a judge issued a warrant for her arrest.
According to the public prosecutor's office in her native province of Tyrol, the suspect has completely vanished, taking her laptop with her - despite her lawyer assuring authorities she would be attending the trial.
The woman is alleged to have bombarded Caruso with more than 100 letters in her attempt to get the TV star's autograph. But when her repeated requests were snubbed, the suspect reportedly threatened the life of Caruso and his then-girlfriend Lisa Marquez in another letter.
A 2007 letter posted to the actor, said to be from the suspect, read: "I will locate you and your ugly Latina tramp and kill you."
As the trial kicked off in Innsbruck on Wednesday, a court-appointed psychiatrist told the jury the woman had been suffering from a "profound personality disorder".
The woman was previously due to stand trial for the charges in July 2007, but the date was pushed back until now because she was abroad and failed to notify the court.
The suspect now faces up to three years behind bars if she is found guilty under Austria's anti-stalking law, as well as the possibility of additional prison time for eluding justice.
