ANTI CLIMAX AS SPEARS OPENS THE VMAS

BRITNEY SPEARS teamed up with SUPERBAD star JONAH HILL to open the MTV Video Music Awards with a skit.
Hill tried to smooch Spears in her dressing room, insisting it was a relaxation technique - but the pop star turned down his advances.
Spears was then led to the stage in a shimmering silver and grey gown, and briefly wished the event a happy 25th anniversary during an anti-climactic opening.
Rihanna then started the show proper as she led an army of dancing zombies onto the stage, dressed in punky lingerie, for a performance of her hit Disturbia.
Spears had a personal treat in store in the night's first award category - she claimed her very first VMA for Best Female Video (Piece of Me) and went on to win another two.
