Fox's American Idol once again scored gigantic ratings Wednesday night, averaging an 18.2 rating and a 28 share over two hours (8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.), and peaking in the final half hour with a 19.0/28, according to overnight ratings from Nielsen Research. The live telecast averaged 30.33 million viewers, more than watched the other three major TV networks combined.
