AMY WINEHOUSE - AMY WINEHOUSE TO PLAY WINTER TOUR

Amy Winehouse has announced a comprehensive winter tour of the UK including a number of arena dates.

The bluesy songstress will play 11 gigs from mid-November to early December, beginning in Manchester and culminating with two shows in Ireland.

Winehouse recently cancelled a number of concerts, citing "exhaustion" for not being able to perform.

However, she has since returned to the live scene and played the Spanish festival Benicassim last weekend.

The singer will perform at a number of large venues including Blackpool's Empress Ballroom, Bournemouth BIC, Cardiff Arena and Birmingham NIA.

She will also play a show at the Manchester Apollo, Newcastle Academy and Brixton Academy.

The singer is the current favourite to scoop this year's Mercury Music prize after her second album Back to Black was nominated for the gong.

So far the record has spawned the hit singles Rehab, You Know I'm No Good and Back to Black.
