AMY WINEHOUSE - AMY LOOKS "HEALTHIER" AND "HAPPIER"

One of AMY WINEHOUSE's backing singers thinks that the songstress is looking "healthier" and "happier" since going into rehab.

ADE OMOTAYO, who performed with Amy at the Grammy Awards via satellite, told Newsbeat that the BACK TO BLACK singer was "her usual funny self" at the performances.

Amy, who won five Grammy Awards including the best album accolade, performed and accepted her awards via a videolink after being refused a US visa.

The star was surrounded by friends, family and label employees.

"It [the atmosphere in the studio] was absolutely ecstatic really, it was almost like a football atmosphere. Every time she won, it was like a goal. You could hear loud cheers," added Omotayo.

The backing singer continued to say that Amy avoided toasting her success by heading upstairs to play pool rather than drinking bubbly.

Meanwhile, MARK RONSON was one celebrity who missed Amy's presence at the actual ceremony.

The producer, who is rumoured to be performing with Amy at next week's Brit Awards, told NME magazine: "I wish Amy was here because she's my mate and you've been through this ride together.

"We created a record and tonight is the pinnacle of that because it's the most prestigious night in music."

Ronson was named Producer of the Year for his work on Amy's BACK TO BLACK album at Saturday's event.
