ALL SAINTS - ALL SAINTS REFUSED TO REPLACE BANDMATES

Reformed British girl group ALL SAINTS refused to enlist replacement members when the band split - because no-one could compete with the original line-up. The group disbanded in 2001 following arguments between SHAZNAY LEWIS, MELANIE BLATT and NICOLE and NATALIE APPLETON's, but they refused to compromise with new members. Speaking to British magazine Attitude, Lewis says, "You have to remember All Saints were friends and we split because the friendship died, not our success. "So to come back with someone else in the band, well, that just wouldn't happen. "They (bosses) tried that once before when we first split. The record company wanted me and Shaz to do a DESTINY'S CHILD and get in two new members. But we said no."
