Former BLUR star DAMON ALBARN has slammed BONO and SIR BOB GELDOF for isolating Africa with their goodwill efforts.
The rocker has criticised the Live 8 concert - supported by both the U2 star and Geldof - insisting it does nothing to help the disadvantaged people in the stricken continent.
He says, "Their hearts are in the right place, but I can't help but think they've separated the continent even further away from us.
"It's just not the right message to be sending out - loads of wealthy rock stars on stages with images of dying children as a backdrop."
