ALBA AND CRUISE TEAM UP FOR HORROR FILM

SIN CITY star JESSICA ALBA has signed on to star in horror thriller THE EYE for TOM CRUISE's production company. The 25-year-old has signed a $4 million (GBP2 million) deal to star in the movie, which is a remake of the Hong Kong film JIAN GUI. The movie is being made for the MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE star's Cruise/Wagner Productions. It is not yet known whether Cruise will co-star in the film. Alba will play ALLISON, a woman who received an eye transplant that allows her to see into the supernatural world. Production starts next month (FEB07) on location in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
