ADAM SANDLER - ADAM SANDLER BREAKS ANKLE PLAYING BASKETBALL

Hollywood star Adam Sandler has broken his ankle while playing basketball but filming on his new movie will not be affected, his publicist said.

According to a statement sent to Associated Press, the Wedding Singer star injured his ankle at the weekend – but still won the game.

The 41-year-old actor is filming Disney comedy Bedtime Stories, in which the fairytales he creates for his niece and nephew come true.

Sandler's publicist said the incident would not affect filming.

Sandler started on Saturday Night Live in the 1990s and went on to star in comedies including The Waterboy and Happy Gilmore.

In addition to movies, Sandler is also famous for his music – comedy album Stan and Judy's Kid went to number 16 in the US Billboard charts.
