ABBA - ABBA DUO SETTLE MUSICAL FEUD

ABBA stars BENNY ANDERSSON and BJORN ULVAEUS have settled a long-running legal dispute with a Swedish playwright pal over credits for a musical. The hitmakers sued Carl-Johan Seth a decade ago after he questionned their decision to credit a theatre director for hit Swedish stage spectacular Kristina From Duvemala. Seth wrote the musical. The dispute stalled the production's Broadway launch as the Abba bandmates and the playwright fought for justice. A statement from the trio reads: "We are glad that we have agreed and that we can continue to be friends." No details about the settlement or credit change have been released, but a spokesman for Seth insists the credits will be made clear when the musical is next staged. It is not known if Ulvaeus and Andersson, the masterminds behind Mamma Mia! and Chess, still plan to take the musical to Broadway.
