Former U.S. sitcom star WILLIE AAMES has filed for bankruptcy after running up an estimated $350,000 (GBP175,000) debt.
The 48 year old, best known for his role in 1980s show Charles in Charge, filed the paperwork in Kansas.
Aames has attempted to kickstart his career in recent years with an appearance on reality show Celebrity Fit Club and by writing a book, Grace is Enough, about his struggles with drugs and money - but documents obtained by TMZ.com suggest he was only paid a total of $29,000 (GBP14,500) for the two projects.
It's the latest woe for the fallen star; back in January (08), Aames and his young son were robbed at gunpoint in Hollywood. The thief escaped with just $15 (GBP7.50).
