Ziyi Joins Cannes Jury

Chinese actress ZHANG ZIYI has agreed to be a judge at this year's (06) coveted Cannes Film Festival in the south of France. The MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA star, who found fame after her performance in martial arts masterpiece CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON, was thrilled by the invitation. She says, "I'm anticipating taking up the post, and it would be an honour." Hong Kong director WONG KAR WAI was earlier named president of the jury for the 59th Cannes Film Festival, which takes place between 17 and 28 May.
