Zeta-Jones' House Problems Continue
Hollywood actress CATHERINE ZETA-JONES is horrified after learning of building plans for a housing estate next door to her $2.7 million (GBP1.5 million) Welsh mansion.
The CHICAGO star and husband MICHAEL DOUGLAS began building the home two years ago (02) in the Mumbles area of Swansea.
Developers TAYLOR WOODROW's plans to erect 42 homes on a cliffside overlooking the sea - and only a few hundred yards from the Hollywood stars' home, have been recommended for approval by local councillors.
A spokesman for Taylor Woodrow says, "While we cannot give more detail about the site before approval next week, we are aware of the high-profile houses in the surrounding area and are confident the development will be very popular given its location."
In July (04), Zeta-Jones and Douglas' moving-in date was delayed after building faults were discovered, and the couple were infuriated to hear a giant wind farm was being built nearby - possible damaging their stunning sea views.
The couple have installed bullet-proof windows in the house after raising concerns about flying balls from the neighbouring golf course.01/11/2004 10:48
