Yellowcard Guitarist Arrested

Former YELLOWCARD guitarist BEN HARPER was arrested on 14 MAY (06) on suspicion of drink driving in Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Harper's vehicle was pulled over at 4.27 am for speeding. After stopping the vehicle, an officer smelled what he believed to be marijuana in the car. Harper tells MTV news, "The officer then asked me to perform a breathalyzer test, and I declined, because I had been at a show and had a few drinks. "So they took me in under suspicion and made me take the test then, and I blew a number under the legal limit." Harper was released on $5,000 (GBP2,778) bail and ordered to return for a court hearing 8 June (06) for charges related to a separate speeding incident.
