Worried Crowe Greets Son
LATEST: Hollywood star RUSSELL CROWE was the picture of a nervous dad-to-be yesterday (21DEC03), smoking and pacing as he waited for his son to be born.
Baby CHARLES SPENCER CROWE arrived four weeks early, but spokespeople have confirmed he and mum DANIELLE SPENCER are in good health.
The GLADIATOR star arrived on his HARLEY-DAVIDSON motorbike at the ROYAL NORTH SHORE HOSPITAL near his Sydney, Australia home, this morning, and was seen nervously smoking cigarettes with hospital staff while Danielle was in labour.
An onlooker says, "There is a media frenzy outside the hospital. Russell appeared to be quite concerned because the baby has arrived four weeks early. He was smoking outside the hospital with doctors and he looked quite tense."
Crowe's Australian publicist WENDY DAY says, "Charles has come early because he wants to have a party. And he's ready to rock'n'roll for Christmas."
And, she adds, Crowe is "looking forward to giving Charles his present in person rather than having to wait".22/12/2003 20:42
