New Australian rock band WOLFMOTHER have lashed out at Brit rockers THE DARKNESS, accusing the group of making rock music sound ridiculous. The Sydney-based band are angry at the success The Darkness have enjoyed with their retro approach - because it betrays 'serious' rock. And they refuse to acknowledge the I BELIEVE IN A THING CALLED LOVE hitmakers as a real band, claiming the JUSTIN HAWKINS-fronted foursome are nothing more than a comedy act. Drummer MYLES HESKETT fumes, "The Darkness are obviously hamming it up, they're so over the top. I think they're trying to be funny. We're not about that. "We're just playing the music we like. We don't have any control over how other people perceive us."
