Witt's Bizarre Cat Experience In London
American actress ALICIA WITT had a rough start to her trip to London when she arrived to shoot her movie THE UPSIDE OF ANGER - a cat landed on her face while she was enjoying a drink.
The 29-year-old redhead actress travelled to the British capital to shoot scenes for the film, alongside JOAN ALLEN, KEVIN COSTNER and ERIKA CHRISTENSEN.
But before filming even began, Witt found herself caught in up in a bizarre and unexpected feline tangle.
She says, "A cat fell out of a window, bounced off an umbrella and landed on my face! I was sitting in a pub in Notting Hill, it was two days after I'd arrived.
"As the director MIKE BINDER said later, 'At least you don't have to worry about that happening again!'
"I needed 10 stitches. It fell out of somewhere and landed... It just landed on my face and then took off.
"We started shooting 10 days later, so we had to sort of avoid close-ups."25/04/2005 09:40
