Winslet And Mendes Win Planning Approval
LATEST: KATE WINSLET and film director husband SAM MENDES have been granted permission to renovate their manor house in the Cotswolds, England.
Originally planning officials at the COTSWOLD DISTRICT COUNCIL rejected most of the proposed alterations to the 15th century grade II listed building, but have since approved the amended plans providing "certain conditions" are adhered to.
A spokeswoman for the council says the design of a porch, a repairs schedule and type of materials used need to be resolved, adding, "Planners will be in close contact with the people who work for Kate Winslet in the next few days."
TITANIC heroine Kate and AMERICAN BEAUTY director Sam bought the property for $4.8 million (GBP3 million) last year (02).02/07/2003 21:15
