Windsor's Small Screen Comeback After Illness
CARRY ON actress BARBARA WINDSOR has returned to British TV soap EASTENDERS, 18 months after a debilitating virus forced her to quit the show.
The British veteran, 67, shed tears when she arrived at the London set to resume her role as overbearing matriarch PEGGY MITCHELL.
Windsor is making a temporary comeback to witness her on-screen daughter SAM's wedding to a gangster before she continues her convalescence.
She says, "It was lovely seeing all those people I'd known for years. It was like being the new girl."07/09/2004 08:47
