Willie Gets Political For Pal Dennis

Country star Willie Nelson is backing Democratic presidential hopeful DENNIS KUCINICH (corr) by taking his personal campaign to the radio.

Nelson has recorded a rare radio ad for the Iowa politician, in which he explains, "I don't usually get too involved in politics, but I'm supporting Congressman Dennis Kucinich for President."

The singer continues, "I know Dennis and I know he speaks up for heartland Americans, who need a stronger voice."

The ads, which have been paid for by Kucinich have been running on several Iowa radio stations. Nelson will perform at a benefit concert for his political pal later this summer (03).
