Williams Joins Legal Downloading Campaign

NEPTUNES producer PHARRELL WILLIAMS is backing a campaign to encourage fans to download music from the internet legally.

A number of artists and labels have attacked the rising trend of music downloading, after free music sites threatened to cost performers and record companies thousands in lost record sales and royalties.

Now FRONTIN' singer Williams has added his voice to the debate by appearing in print advertisements encouraging music fans to get their tracks from legitimate online sources.

He says in the ad, "Downloading free music is hurting our art form. Spend your 99 cents. Stop Frontin'!"
