Williams' Former Manager Fears He Will Self-Destruct
British pop star Robbie Williams' former manager is terrified he will self destruct.
NIGEL MARTIN-SMITH managed Williams when he was a member of 1990s boyband Take That and he worries the ANGEL singer will suffer a similar fate as Michael Hutchence's girlfriend Paula Yates.
Yates, who was previously married to SIR Bob Geldof, died of a heroin overdose in the wake of the Inxs frontman's 1997 suicide.
Martin-Smith says, "He's so bitter and it's hard to know what his problem is, but he's always had a self-destruct button.
"Despite all the nasty things he has said about me, I still worry about Rob. I'm scared that one day I'm going to wake up and be told that he's dead, like Paula Yates.
"I was good friends with Paula. I still feel guilty that I didn't contact her when she was going through her troubled period."
